Allie Eklund is still navigating her split from Steven McBee Jr. after he claimed she cheated on him — and she’s turned to an unexpected ally for support: his ex-girlfriend Calah Jackson.
“Allie is very upset and having a hard time with the breakup,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly, noting Eklund, 29, “still can’t wrap her head around things since she feels she did nothing wrong.”
The insider adds, “In a way, she believes it’s a blessing in disguise,” but it’s still been a struggle after McBee, 33, accused Eklund of being unfaithful during Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, California, last month. (Eklund has denied the allegations and McBee publicly apologized for airing his grievances on social media.)
“She protected him a lot during their relationship,” the source shares, adding that Eklund “feels he was unfaithful to her in many situations that she never discussed publicly.”
There were “several instances of girls coming to her showing DMs and text messages from him,” the insider says, claiming that Eklund and McBee “were having many issues before they split.”
In order to fully move forward from McBee after the Stagecoach scandal, Eklund has turned to McBee’s ex Jackson, 34, who dated him on and off from 2021 to 2024.
“Allie and Calah have bonded over this whole ordeal and have been in touch,” the source tells Us, revealing the women have been “talking about it together was healing and brought peace for both of them.”
Amid her healing journey, the insider says Eklund has “blocked Steven on everything and will never speak to him again,” confirming, “There is no chance they will ever get back together.”
Us Weekly has reached out to McBee for comment.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboy fans had a front row seat to McBee and Jackson’s rocky romance, which played out during seasons 1 and 2 of the Bravo series. His relationship with Eklund, meanwhile, will be front and center when season 3 premieres on June 19.
When it comes to McBee’s relationship with Jackson, the pair called it quits in fall 2024, which fans saw on season 2 of the show in 2025.
“It’s very different being in the relationship vs. being out,” Jackson exclusively told Us in August 2025. “I think I lost a lot of myself in that relationship.”
Three months later, McBee went public with his and Eklund’s relationship.
“I knew quickly after meeting him that I saw a future with him,” Eklund told Naluda magazine in December 2025, after making her Instagram debut with the rancher one month prior.
The couple’s romance continued to grow as they headed into the new year, with a source exclusively telling Us in April that McBee and Eklund talked about “getting engaged this year” before their relationship came crashing down that month.
After attending Stagecoach Music Festival with Eklund, McBee returned home to Missouri one day early, which is when things took a turn for the worse. McBee took to social media on April 27, accusing Eklund of being too cozy with another man after he left California.
“I just know there was hand holding, grinding, dancing, drunken stupor at an afterparty,” he alleged in a since-deleted Instagram post.
McBee allegedly sent Eklund a series of derogatory messages, calling her a “f***ing hooker” and other names, which Eklund posted on her Instagram Story after she denied being unfaithful.
“I’m not looking to escalate things any further. I’d like this to end here. I’ve said what feels necessary in response to his actions and I plan on taking time to process and move forward,” she wrote in her own social media statement at the time.
After seeing the alleged abuse texts McBee sent Eklund, Jackson spoke out about her own ups and downs with the McBee Farm & Cattle CEO.
“I’ve stayed quiet on this topic for over a year since season 2 came out to focus on my healing and moving forward,” Jackson wrote in a lengthy statement shared via her Instagram Story on April 27. “But seeing everything come out now & the texts that were posted … what you’re seeing isn’t new behavior or circumstantial, it’s unfortunately who he is and just a small glimpse into what I experienced over the course of my three year relationship with him.”
She alleged, “On top of the emotional and verbal abuse I experienced, my character was publicly torn apart and false narratives were pushed about me.”
Us Weekly previously reached out to a McBee Dynasty spokesperson for comment regarding Jackson’s allegations.
Drew Dodson, the man accused of cheating with Eklund, broke his silence on the allegations on April 29, denying anything happened. “I’m not here to go back and forth or fuel anything. The reality is simple, I was there with friends, nothing more,” he claimed.
McBee, for his part, took accountability for the messages he sent Eklund, telling Us on May 1, “There’s no excuse or justification” for what he did.
“I do have an anger problem — I’ll be the first to admit it. The result of my actions has me in the situation I’m in today. This was a major, major step backwards,” McBee added.
McBee revealed he planned to enter a six-day intensive retreat designed to address deeper-rooted patterns from his upbringing.
“I understand the weight of what I said,” he told Us. “I’ve apologized, and I mean that.”
