Amanda Hirsch’s real love for reality TV is about to be put to great use once again.
Us can exclusively confirm Hirsch, 38, will be the official host of Hulu’s “Get Real” podcast when it returns with new episodes beginning Thursday, August 6.
“I’m beyond excited to officially join ‘Get Real.’ Anyone who follows me knows reality TV is basically my love language, so getting to dive even deeper into the Hulu reality universe every week feels like a dream,” Hirsch exclusively shared with Us. “I love talking about these shows with my audience, and now I get to bring fans straight into the conversation with the people creating the moments everyone can’t stop talking about.”
In her first episode, Hirsch — who also hosts the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast — will welcome The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor and Bachelor Nation’s Kaitlyn Bristowe.
More special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
“I’m already putting Kylie Jenner at the top of my guest wishlist,” Hirsch told Us.
Each and every week, Hirsch will ask all the juicy questions fans want answered as she’s joined by celebrity guests, pop culture commentators and stars from the latest Hulu reality shows.
Each episode is expected to feature unfiltered conversations with fan-favorite reality stars and celebrity guests as they unpack the latest drama, revisit viral moments and give fans real-time access to the stories and people making news.
Past guests have included Dancing With the Stars: The Next Gen Pro host Robert Irwin, Project Runway judge Law Roach, House of Stassi star Katie Maloney and more.
Since 2016, Hirsch has developed a loyal community of fans as she covered pop culture and launched a podcast with her own unique point of view.
“Today with TikTok and stuff, people will go to someone’s page and see they have some followers and assume it’s an overnight thing. For me, I’m super #blessed, but I’ve also been grinding for six years,” she said on the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast in May 2022. “I really did start from zero followers and just had my family follow me and told them to like my posts.”
As for what she contributes to her success, Hirsch said it’s all about passion and having a genuine love for the people and shows she covers.
“For a while, this was just my hobby and I was working two jobs. I never expected to make money off of it,” she shared. “But the one thing I kept telling myself is that something was bound to come out of it. Whether that was a job opportunity or making new connections, something will happen because I’m pouring my heart and soul into it and I love it so much.”
New episodes of the “Get Real” podcast drop weekly on Thursdays with video available on Hulu and YouTube.
