Round two? Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor will feature some familiar faces. Former Season 19 contestants Amber James and Becca Tilley are among the contestants in the running for Higgins’ heart on upcoming Season 20, Us Weekly can confirm.
James, a bartender from Chicago who was featured on Chris Soules’ season of the hit ABC franchise, was sent packing on episode 3. As viewers will remember, James didn’t take the elimination well and shed tears while walking away shocked from Soules. The hopeful contestant also appeared on spinoff Bachelor in Paradise, where she romanced Dan Cox and Justin Reich.
According to her ABC bio page, James’ favorite movies are The Lion King, Reservoir Dogs, and A Bronx Tale, and she can’t live without her “teddy bear, Mom, best friends, and brother.”
Tilley, for her part, pretty much campaigned her way onto the latest season of the show, tweeting after Higgins was announced: “Ben H is what most 26 yr old virgins named Becca are looking for.”
Tilley was also a contestant on Soules’ season — she was runner-up, losing the proposal to Soules’ now ex-fiancee Whitney Bischoff. The self-proclaimed virgin took the rejection with serious class and appeared to be barely phased when Soules said goodbye.
During Soules' "Women Tell All" special, he explained why he proposed to Bischoff over Tilley. "Whitney has told me she loves me, and she’s close to 30 years old, she’s 29, she’s ready to be in love, ready to be married, and ready to have kids," he explained. "Becca is kind of uncertain with all of those — those are big things when it comes to a relationship and when you’re wanting to be married. Those are kind of the main things."
