Ariel Winter came to Kim Kardashian’s defense for the second time during an interview on Australian radio show Kyle & Jackie O on March 24.

“I think she’s promoting body positivity,” the Modern Family star, 18, said. “Young girls being able to express that they don’t have a stick-thin body — they’re curvy. And stick-thin bodies are amazing … and I think that everybody’s body should be celebrated no matter what it is.”

Winter backed Kardashian after the reality star posted that now-infamous nude selfie on March 7 — and got some disparaging feedback from the likes of Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moretz. Kardashian later thanked Winter for her support with a handwritten note and flowers.

“No one was body shaming @justinbieber when he posted his nude guitar photo so why @KimKardashian? #herbodyherchoice #InternationalWomensDay,” she tweeted March 8, “I think everyone, men and women, should have the right to choose what they do with their bodies — and not be criticized.”

Winter made a similar point in her Kyle & Jackie O interview, too.

“There are so many guys that go out there that are so cool with posing nude … and then when women do it, we’re really crucified,” she continued. “We’re not able to do the exact same thing, and I think it’s really upsetting to be in an industry where that’s happening. So I really decided to stand up for her because I thought it was so ridiculous.”

Winter has become notorious for addressing body shamers: After haters trashed a photo of her in a bikini with her two young nieces, she chose to address the comments rather than ignore them.

“I typically never give power to the mean things people bravely say behind their computer screens,” she wrote via Instagram. “But this is for the girls who are constantly bullied … you are expressing yourself and don’t ever think you deserve the negativity as the consequence to what you are wearing — YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.”
