Is a new Bravo showmance ready to set sail? Below Deck Mediterranean stars — and flirty friends — Hannah Ferrier and Bobby Giancola spoke with Us Weekly about whether they would ever consider dating each other given their undeniable chemistry.

Asked if she could see herself in a relationship with Giancola, Ferrier told Us, “Oh no — I’d never date him! Bobby is like my brother.”

Although she doesn’t view the hunky deckhand as a potential love interest, that hasn’t stopped the Aussie beauty from shamelessly flirting with Giancola. As viewers will recall, Ferrier happily applied sunscreen all over the Florida native’s insanely fit physique in one particularly steamy scene earlier this season.

“Why would you not?! I just think he’s hot!” Ferrier reasoned. “And he works hard for it. He should be appreciated that way. I don’t know. I’m a big fan of, like, really shiny pretty things, and Bobby is very shiny and pretty. For us, it’s just playful. And I’m single — I can do what I want!”

Giancola, for his part, had a crush on Ferrier from the moment he met her, but never pursued the Ionian Princess’ gorgeous chief stewardess.

“Obviously, Hannah is hot. But I thought she and [our costar] Ben [Robinson] had a thing, so I didn’t go for it,” he explained to Us. “I also had a thing for [my other costar] Julia [d’Albert Pusey], so when things got really flirty between me and Hannah, I pulled back because I didn’t want Julia to think I was some kind of player.”

Unfortunately, Giancola didn’t have a real shot with d’Albert Pusey, who has a boyfriend back home.

“I thought I had a chance with Julia because of all her flirting that she was doing. So it was a whirlwind of emotion!” the single Bravo personality shared with Us. “That didn’t seem like a serious relationship to me, because I wouldn’t leave my significant other at home while I got out to work on a yacht for an extended period of time. I thought she was fair game because of that, and she was flirty back with me.”

So does he wish he had given it a go with Ferrier instead? “Looking back at it now, no,” Giancola admitted. “We have so much fun together as pals. And we’d just end up wrestling and kicking each other’s asses!”

Ferrier, who worked on many chartered yachts before traveling across the Mediterranean on reality TV, told Us that onboard romances almost never have a happy ending.

“It's pretty much always a bad idea,” she said with a laugh. "Picture getting into a fight with your boyfriend and then not being able to be any further than 35 meters away from him for the next month. And if you wanna break up with him, you still have to see and work with him literally every day. Just don’t do it!”

Below Deck Mediterranean airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
