Eight simple rules for dating Kaley Cuoco? The Bachelor host Chris Harrison took part in a conference call with reporters on Friday, February 26, when he admitted that the Big Bang Theory star, who is a devoted fan of the franchise, would be a good choice as the season 12 Bachelorette.
“Kaley would be great,” Harrison, 44, said. “I would love that. She’s an old friend of mine from the ABC days, and I think she likes to drink wine as much as I do.” Harrison and Cuoco, 30, were both on the network when she costarred on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, which signed off in April 2005 after three seasons.
However, Harrison acknowledged that picking a famous face to star on the show would be tough, given how quickly celebrities start new relationships.
“It’s hard to find a good single celebrity anymore,” he said.
Cuoco has made no secret of her love for the long-running dating franchise, having appeared this year on the chat show Bachelor Live. The actress split from husband Ryan Sweeting in September and has recently been linked to Arrow actor Paul Blackthorne.
This wouldn’t be the first time that the network has given a chance at romance to someone who was already in the limelight. Jesse Palmer was a New York Giants quarterback when he starred on The Bachelor season 5, while actor Charlie O’Connell, whose brother is Jerry O’Connell, was season 7’s rose distributor. The season 12 Bachelorette has not yet been announced, but each season of the series before now has centered on a previous Bachelor contestant.
