Wow, Bravo’s Don’t Be Tardy finally gifted Us an episode where it truly lived up to its namesake: Kim Zolciak was literally late to a party. The Wednesday, December 7, episode brought laughter, tears, blue balls (no, not those kind) and even some scary realities about the star’s health.
Kim’s Excited to Turn 38
The episode kicked off with Kim planning her birthday party-slash-launch party for her skincare line, Kashmere. While planning the multipurpose event, Kim struggled with some very important decisions, including whether to have the ice sculpture shaped as a “K” or as “two K’s back-to-back.” As far as Zolciak’s feelings on turning 38? She seemed pretty pumped on being two years shy of 40 and even said, “To be 38’s pretty f–kin cool.” If only we all felt that way about turning 38!
Brielle Lands a Job at Access Hollywood
Brielle Biermann is moving on up in the world! The 19-year-old shocked Us all when she marched into the family kitchen and delivered the earth-shattering news that she would soon be gainfully employed. She beamed with pride as she said, “Jack [the family publicist] actually called me and told me I have a PA job at Access Hollywood.” Despite her attempt at congratulating her daughter, it was obvious that Kim was not thrilled at the news. After Brielle left the room, Kim admitted, “I’m gonna fire Jack. I told this guy not to get her a f–kin’ job.” Guess Kim’s attempts at squashing her child’s dreams failed!
Kim Admits That Kroy’s Free Agency Is Stressing Her Out
Kim got visibly more and more anxious and stressed as the episode continued. As Brielle revealed more of her L.A. plans — including demanding that she get an apartment with a brand new toilet — it was clear that it all weighed heavily on her mother. Kim admitted in a confessional that everything seemed to be piling up and added, “I’m in the middle of free agency! I’m like, ‘Hello, how much can a person take?’” Uh-oh.
Kim Loves Us, She Really Loves Us!
As Kim got ready for the party, she didn’t hesitate to take the time to give Us a shout-out! No, literally — Us Weekly got a name-check! Kim bragged to the camera, saying of her event, “Us Weekly’s gonna be there.” Thanks, Kim — we love you, too!
Kim Admits That the NFL Isn’t “Forever”
When speaking to the camera about her motivations for starting her skincare line, Kim said, “I know the NFL isn’t forever.” She then pointed at her camera crew and continued, “And this s–t isn’t forever either.” Later in the episode, she admitted, “Last year during free agency, I was very nervous.… This year, I look at all the people in Georgia who’ve supported me…and I’m very thankful for that.”
Kim Opens Up About Her Stroke
During the party, Brielle warmed our hearts by singing her mom “Happy Birthday.” The future Access Hollywood PA told the camera, “My mom had me at my age, so we’ve literally like grown up together and her having that stroke…freaked me out, freaked everybody out.” Kim later said, “When you have a stroke, it changes you.… It really teaches you, like, you have to live in the moment.”
Kim Has Another “Baby”
When Kim revealed her skincare line at the party, she started to cry, saying, “It’s definitely my baby.” The party featured baby blue decor, including vases filled with little blue balls, so it certainly wasn’t a far cry from a baby shower. We wanted to start bawling when Kroy Biermann said to his wife, “I’m so happy and proud of you.” Congrats on the skincare-line-baby, Kim!
Kim Has Heart Trouble
One week after the party, Kroy put a heart monitor onto Kim’s chest. She admitted, “I started feeling a little strange a few days before the party.… I waited two weeks with these symptoms like a f–king idiot.” Oh, no, Kim! We hope everything’s OK!
