Now that’s a cell phone address book we’d love to have! Jennifer Lopez became the latest celebrity to join James Corden for some Carpool Karaoke on Tuesday, March 29 — and during their musical journey to the CBS studios, the pair took a moment to text one of J.Lo’s famous pals.
J.Co (as James Corden renamed himself, in honor of his passenger) and his Grammy-winning guest embarked on 13 minutes of Carpool Karaoke perfection, including a special J.Lo music video tutorial and a discussion about insuring butts.
But amongst the whole, unmissable TV slot, were two particularly noteworthy moments. The first being Lopez’s admission that while she’s been married three times, she’s had more proposals than that!
Corden asked the 46-year-old performer about the most romantic moments in her life. Turns out she’s had a few more than we knew about! “I’ve had some amazing proposals,” the mom-of-two revealed. “I’ve been married a couple of times I’m still trying to get it right,” she added, laughing.
“I don’t want to compare one to the other, they were all pretty spectacular, they were nice. And there were some that asked me to marry me that were good, but I said no.”
“So how many proposals total?” Corden asked.
“I’ve been married three times, I’ve been proposed to five times,” Lopez replied.
“How do you say no?”
“You just say no. It isn’t right,” she replied.
But while the karaoke sessions and revealing interviews were amazing, the funniest part of the Late Late Show Primetime Special bit was when Corden got hold of Lopez’s cellphone and her A-list address book.
Bypassing Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Iggy Azalea, Corden picked on Leonardo DiCaprio to spoof text.
“Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose any suggestions? Let me know, J.Lo (you know, from the block),” he wrote.
