Say what?! Julianne Hough admitted that she’s “really bad” at phone sex with fiancé Brooks Laich in an interview with Cosmopolitan for its February cover story.

“I’m really bad at it,” the Dancing With the Stars judge, 27, told the mag. “I’ll get halfway through and start laughing. It’s an art. I applaud people who are good at it. They need to come and help me keep a straight face!”

Hough and the hockey pro, 32, began dating in December 2013 and got engaged last August. The Washington Capitals player proposed with a massive Lorraine Schwartz–designed six-carat ring.

“I did a horror movie that never got released,” Hough explained of how she met Laich. “I’m convinced the only reason I was meant to do that movie was to meet my fiancé. Six years prior, Teddy Sears, my costar, tried to invite Brooks — who was a good friend of his — to visit him in L.A. Brooks, who knows nothing about pop culture, joked, ‘What are you going to do — hook me up with that Juicy Fruit starlet?’”

The Safe Haven actress also opened up to the mag about her very public breakup from Ryan Seacrest, who she dated from 2010 to 2013.

“I definitely hated that everyone had an opinion about what I was going through,” she admitted. “At the time, I was constantly running and touring, which sometimes looked like I was totally fine and couldn’t care less, which wasn’t the truth. But it was my form of being able to deal.”

Hough — who is also set to star in Grease: Live, airing later this month — also shared that she doesn’t just want to be remembered for her work on DWTS.

“If someone told me they hadn’t seen Dancing With the Stars, I would say, ‘Oh, good!’” she said. “Everything I was getting was amazing, but I felt like, I’m so much more than this. I want to be respected as a singer and an actress.”
