Make a wish! Several Kardashians blew out candles on the Sunday, February 14, episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kris Jenner's kids surprised her with an elaborate Great Gatsby-themed 60th birthday party, while Kendall Jenner celebrated turning 20 with an unexpected gift — getting selected to walk in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Caitlyn Jenner and Lamar Odom also had birthdays in this episode, but the former NBA star had to celebrate his in the hospital after overdosing in the previous episode.
Khloe Feels Responsible for Lamar
Khloe announced she has been dating Houston Rockets player James Harden, and the entire situation with Odom's near-death experience from overdose disrupted her newfound peace. (Earlier this month, Us Weekly reported exclusively that she and Harden have split.)
Khloe felt people were putting a lot of pressure on her to stop everything she was doing for Lamar, but she said she “had a life before this happened” that she was really enjoying. However, she admitted to feeling “selfish” when she is away from Lamar because he has no one else to rely on.
Kendall Turns 20 — and Caitlyn Turns 1
Kendall celebrated the end of her teenage years! The model had a party with all of her celebrity friends, although it was nothing in comparison to the party the family was planning for Kris. The best part of Kendall's birthday was the VS Fashion Show news. However, there was drama after she decided she did not want any of her family to attend the show, fearing they would get upset with her.
Caitlyn celebrated her 66th birthday, but proclaimed it was her “first” real birthday as her true self. She received a few purses from her kids as gifts, and was glad she can finally get presents that she actually wants for her birthday.
Tyga and Kylie Take a Break — Briefly
While the Kardashian/Jenner girls were filming their remake of Kris’ “I Love My Friends” video, Kylie had to excuse herself because she was upset over something boyfriend Tyga did.
While she did not confirm what exactly was going on, she was obviously unhappy about the situation because she wanted the rapper to be uninvited from Kendall’s birthday party later that night. Kendall refused to rescind his invitation, and the couple actually ended up reconnecting at the party, making for a short-lived split.
Caitlyn and Kendall Drama
At Caitlyn’s birthday dinner, Kim Kardashian blurted out to the woman of the hour that Kendall would be walking in the VS Fashion Show. Kim suggested that Caitlyn attend, even though Kim knew Kendall didn't want any family members there. Ultimately, Kim didn’t seem to care that she spoiled the news and caused another mini family feud.
Later, Kendall accused Caitlyn of trying to take her spotlight at the VS Fashion Show. Before Kris’ party, Kendall called Caitlyn screaming about her taking “the biggest night of her life away from her.” According to Kendall, Caitlyn kept repeatedly trying to land an invite to the show, but Kendall was not budging.
Kris’ Birthday Bash
Even though Kris’ party fell on Lamar’s actual birthday, the family decided not to move the party and used the shindig to celebrate Lamar, too, despite the fact he was still in the hospital. Kris only knew the party was Great Gatsby-themed, but the girls kept everything else a surprise.
Kris and boyfriend Corey were picked up in an old-fashioned car and taken to the party, which looked like a scene straight out of the movie. Kris’ kids debuted the "I Love My Friends" remixed and, like typical Kris, the momager got very emotional. There were many performers, including none other than Kanye West, not to mention the signature Kardashian photo booth, making the party one of the most “iconic” parties they’ve ever thrown, according to Kendall.
