Not everyone is having a happy holiday. Miley Cyrus posted a melancholy tune called "My Sad Christmas" for fans who aren't in the mood for joyous celebrations.
The mournful NSFW lyrics paint a sad picture as Cyrus, 23, sings about being lonely and wondering why she even "put up the f—ing tree if there's no one here that's gonna see" it. But there's also humor in the song, as she jokes about thinking Santa is cute while she leaves him beer instead of cookies and milk.
The singer, who split with fiancé Liam Hemsworth in September 2013, also sings about this Christmas sucking just like last year did and adds that her little sister calls her a Grinch while her mom thinks she's "just a bitch." The song ends with her wishing a mystery person a Merry Christmas "though I miss you so."
The new song, which Cyrus posted on Thursday, December 24, comes less than a week after she wrapped up her Milky Milky Milk tour with the Flaming Lips. The tour, which featured the "Wrecking Ball" singer wearing a giant prosthetic penis and appearing topless on stage, was in support of her latest album, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.
But while she might be singing about having a blue Christmas, Cyrus wasn't all alone — she posted a photo on Instagram with her grandmother and another that showed her present from pals Mike Will (who produced her Bangerz album) and rapper Gucci Mane.
