Real Housewives of Orange County Recap: Which OC Housewife Is the Ultimate Pot Stirrer?

Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Vicki Gunvalson, Meghan
The Real Housewives of Orange County accused one another of being "pot-stirrers" as their trip to Tahiti concluded.

Someone's stirring the pot! The Real Housewives of Orange County dealt with backstabbing, hypocrisy, and a ton of gossip on the Monday, Aug. 10, episode as they concluded their trip to Tahiti. However, the source of all the drama seemed to be in figuring out who actually caused the most drama as the ladies sniped at each other in their attempt to figure out just who was conjuring up the most trouble. Whodunnit? Read the recap to find out!

Heather Dubrow

Rise and shine! Dubrow started the episode on by going into full mom mode in order to get an incredibly hungover Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson out of bed. The two ailing women put up a fight, with Judge asking Dubrow whether or not she had diapers because she couldn't stop going to the bathroom. Dubrow was able to keep her cool, though, and informed both ladies that she had four kids and was prepared to do whatever it took to get them out of their beds and ready for action.

While Gunvalson went off to throw up, Dubrow and Judge were joined by Meghan King Edmonds and Lizzie Rosvek for a weird scuba driving trip of sorts. The adventure involved putting on a ridiculous looking helmet and getting repelled down to the bottom of the ocean to play with the fish and stingrays. While initially dubious, Dubrow decided not to think too hard about the science behind this weird scuba system and dove in. "At least I'm not drowning," she happily exclaimed as she looked at the fish gathering around her.

Best Moment: “You're such a dork, Dubrow!” was all Judge could say when Dubrow arrived to go swimming in full-on snorkel gear. Dubrow agreed with the assessment and happily waved her arms around before trading the snorkel gear for a bottle of her beloved champagne.

Tamra Judge

Live and learn! That was the motto Judge tried to live by this week as she attempted to not repeat the mistakes that made last year's trip to Bali so miserable for her. Judge decided that the way to go about this was to be completely honest and “leave everything on the table” about her conversations with other Housewives.

Her journey to ultimate honesty began with a talk with Edmonds during the scuba trip. Judge informed Edmonds that she, Beador, and Gunvalson were talking smack about Edmonds' relationship with her stepkids while they were getting wasted the night before. She followed that up by letting Dubrow and Edmonds know that Beador seemed judgmental of Dubrow's friendly status with both the second and third wives of Jim Edmonds.

The truth-telling tour continued at dinner, but the honesty was causing more drama than it was quelling. Beador became incensed to hear that Judge was talking about her behind her back and wondered out loud whether it was possible for her to have a fun night with Judge without it coming back to haunt her.

Judge was furious at how the night was turning out, and dragged Gunvalson to the bathroom to complain about how Dubrow was breaking the girl code by bringing up the previous conversation at dinner. Not one to let an issue fester, Dubrow immediately joined them there and explained her case to Judge before they reached an amicable conclusion on the situation. Finally, being honest lead to a happy ending for a Housewives fight!

Best Moment: Judge is still doing her best to get back on Team Jesus! This week that entailed perusing a copy of The Bible for Dummies so that she could bone up on christianity in time for her baptism. During a conversation with Dubrow she admitted, “The regular Bible is very hard to understand."

Shannon Beador

Who is the ultimate pot stirrer in the OC? Depends on whom you ask.

While Judge and Gunvalson were in the bathroom, Beador shared with Edmonds that she thought that Judge was the ultimate troublemaker and that her antics during the dinner were just her way of causing more drama.

Edmonds decided that she did not like this declaration at all, and immediately went to Judge with the news that Beador was causing Judge a pot stirrer behind her back. This information incited Judge, who was furious at Beador for accusing her of such a thing when she worked so hard to get their friendship back on track.

The exhausting circle of accusations continued when Beador found out that Edmonds told Judge about their conversation, with a furious Beador accusing Edmonds of also being a major pot stirrer. Edmonds disagreed and said that really, Beador was the one stoking the fires of drama. This made Beador even angrier, and she decided that she didn't need to try to forge a friendship with Edmonds.

The night ended in a bad place for everyone as nobody knew who the ultimate pot stirrer actually was. The question lingered as the ladies packed up and got ready to leave Tahiti. Thankfully, during their final dinner, some kind of resolution was achieved when Edmonds acknowledged one of the many “elephants in the room” by apologizing to a skeptical but accepting Beador. Given that this is the Real Housewives of Orange County, one can only assume that someone is going to stir the pot again soon.

Best Moment: Throughout the episode, no matter the situation, Beador made sure to always call Edmonds by her full name of Meghan King Edmonds when disparaging her. If the youth cracks were no longer going to bring Edmonds down, than maybe her name being repeated ad nauseam would!

Meghan King Edmonds

The mama drama continued for Edmonds this week. First she had to deal with Gunvalson berating her for the millionth time about not respecting her stepchildren's moms. Gunvalson claimed that she keeps bringing it up because she's passionate about her children and her place in her life and she can only imagine how offended she would be if someone like Edmonds tried to insert herself into the lives of her kids so completely. Edmonds defended herself by saying that she respects the biological mothers of her stepchildren and doesn't want to truly interfere in their relationships.

The motherhood argument did not stop there, though. When Gunvalson revealed she was randomly planning to buy her 28-year-old daughter a new car to cheer her up, the subject turned to the educational status of Edmonds' stepdaughter, Haley. When Edmonds brought up the fact that Haley was doing an independent study that allowed her to do most of her work from home, Gunvalson was appalled.

“You're raising a little monster,” she accused Edmonds, saying that the newbie Housewife and her husband needed to stop giving her cars and start holding her accountable for her schoolwork. Edmonds was incensed at Gunvalson's hypocrisy, pointing out that Gunvalson was just sharing her plans to buy her daughter an unnecessary car. As the fights continue, one thing is for certain: Edmonds and Gunvalson are never going to have a civil conversation when it comes to talking about motherhood.

Best Moment: Lip gloss game on point! Edmonds was constantly making sure her lips were refreshed during their final days in Moorea. No drama, big or small, was going to keep her away from her applicator as she kept putting on more and more gloss through several tense conversations.

Vicki Gunvalson

Best friends forever! While the rest of the ladies were getting their scuba on, Gunvalson and Beador shared water and good conversation on the beach. Their talk mainly centered around how Beador was handling herself in the wake of her husband's long-term affair. Beador was incredibly thankful for Gunvalson's support during the difficult time, especially for the fact that she did not share the dirty secret with the other Housewives without Beador's permission.

And that feeling of support was mutual — Gunvalson closed out the episode by tearfully thanking all the Housewives for supporting her and her boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, during his arduous cancer battle. She knew it hadn't been easy, but she was glad that she had friends who could stick with her during the hard times.

Best Moment: After the disaster that was Gunvalson driving a golf cart during last week's episode, one would think that the Housewives wouldn't let her behind the wheel again. This was not the case, as Gunvalson commandeered one of their carts home from dinner, and Judge nabbed the other one. A disastrous trip home for everyone ensued as the two ladies crashed into each other, drove on the grass, and generally caused all sorts of chaos.
