Getting to the bottom of it. Christine Quinn is opening up about her feud with Chrishell Stause, which seemingly began during the season 1 finale of Selling Sunset when they got into a heated fight at a party. However, the two weren’t always at odds.
“From day one, obviously the producers had certain things in mind. They wanted us to clash obviously,” Quinn, 31, shared on the Friday, August 14, episode of the “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast. “At first, we didn’t. We got along great. We were friends. She was at my house. We were drinking, having a good time. I was getting to know her and then the storylines came into play.”
Once that happened, the realtor explained, they’d call each other after filming and make sure things were OK in real life. “We thought that we were good at separating things,” she said, before adding that sometimes, that call wouldn’t come. “Then we realized, ‘Oh s–t! This is affecting our real lives.’ I never wanted to fight with her. Are you kidding? Her and I had drinks. I made her dinner. I didn’t want that. That wasn’t me.”
The reality star explained that their fight on the finale, which aired in 2019, was not meant to Stause. However, after the blowout, the former All My Children star, 39, blocked her on social media.
“I’m sorry if I came across too harsh in my delivery. I never apologize for my words because my words are how I feel and they’re always accurate,” Quinn explained to host Brandi Glanville. “But I was like, ‘Wow, I’m really sorry if my delivery was way too strong. I was wasted, I was so sorry.’ I knew it was a season finale and the producers were like, ‘Give it, give it. It’s the season finale.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll give it, I don’t care. We need to get picked up.’ Honestly, I don’t know if we would have gotten picked up if it wasn’t for me acting like a drunk s–t show.”
Quinn also noted that she was confused when she came under fire for questioning Stause’s sudden divorce from Justin Hartley on the show.
“When people are like, ‘Oh my god! I can’t believe you commented on Chrishell’s divorce.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, of course. I’m getting paid to! What do you mean?'” she said on the podcast.
