After four years of bad breakups and broken friendships, Lauren Conrad's pals Audrina Patridge and Heidi Montag are saying goodbye to the TV show that made them famous. With the Hills' series finale airing on MTV tonight, UsMagazine.com breaks down the series’ most memorable moments.
01. "You Know What You Did!"
Who can forget Conrad's blowout with frenemy Heidi at L.A. hotspot Les Deux? Convinced Heidi and Spencer Pratt had been the source of a humiliating sex tape rumor, Conrad confronted her former BFF. "You know what you did!" she screamed. As Heidi played dumb, Conrad continued to lay into her. "You started a sick little rumor about me! You're a sad, pathetic person."
02. "You Were More Beautiful Before."
Two months after Heidi underwent 10 cosmetic procedures — including a brow lift, rhinoplasty and breast enhancement surgery — she flew home to Crested Butte, Colorado to see her mom in 2010. Though hubby Pratt warned her it would be a bad idea, Heidi ignored him — and later regretted it. "You looked more beautiful before," mom Darlene Egelhoff said when she saw her daughter's new face. At a family dinner, Heidi struggled to eat a burger as her sister Holly Montag teased her.
03. "You Messed With the Wrong Girl!"
After Kristin Cavallari made a surprise appearance at Heidi's wedding in 2009, her unwelcomed presence causes tension within the circle of friends — especially when Cavallari cozies up to Patridge's ex, Justin "Bobby" Brescia at a pool party. "It's girl code. You don't go there," Patridge whines of Cavallari's flirting. Moments later the two engage in a screaming match where Cavallari proclaims, "You messed with the wrong girl!"
04. "All I Want Is For You To Just Be My Friend Again."
When Conrad invites high school BFF Lo Bosworth to move into her pad with Patridge in 2008, their dynamic immediately changes. "Everything was fine when it was just me and you," Patridge says. "When Lo's in the picture, you're just distant from me." Conrad's mascara runs down her cheek as she sobs, "All I want is for you to just be my friend again."
05. "You'll Always Be Known As The Girl Who Didn't Go To Paris."
At the end of the first season in 2006, Conrad was torn between interning at Teen Vogue in Paris or spending the summer in a beach house with then-boyfriend Jason Wahler. When she decides to stay in L.A. to focus on her relationship, her editor Lisa Love warns her that she's making a terrible mistake. "You'll always be known as the girl who didn't go to Paris," Love tells her. Conrad's fellow Teen Vogue intern Whitney Port goes to Paris instead.
