Zombies are no match for Lord Voldemort — or are they? The much buzzed-about The Walking Dead spin-off has cast its first two stars, one of whom is best known for playing a young version of Harry Potter’s soulless archenemy, He Who Must Not Be Named.
As first reported by Deadline, British actor Frank Dillane and Australian actress Alycia Debnam Carey have signed on to AMC’s as-yet-untitled spin-off, which takes place in the same zombie apocalypse as the original undead drama.
Dillane, 23, appeared in 2009’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as a teenage Tom Marvolo Riddle, who — as any non-muggle can tell you — grew up to become one of the most feared leaders in J.K. Rowling‘s wizarding world.
Debnam Carey, meanwhile, starred in the 2014 disaster film Into the Storm, and also appeared in AMC’s Galyntine pilot, which the network declined to pick up in October.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the two “will play the kids of one of the show’s main characters…Dillane is her ‘former druggie’ son and Debnam Carey is her ‘ambitious’ daughter.”
