Bottoms up! The new trailer for Jennifer Aniston’s latest film, Office Christmas Party, just dropped — and, whoa, is this holiday fete turned up.
Aniston, as pragmatic CEO Carol, puts the kibosh on a celebration for a failing branch of her company, but impish younger brother Clay (played by Silicon Valley’s goofball T.J. Miller) decides the party is the quickest way to save the business. Can he impress a potential client (Courtney B. Vance) with the rager to end all ragers? With stair sledding, Christmas tree jousting and a snowy Slip’N Slide involved, we’re thinking yes.
Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn and Saturday Night Live players Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer round out the cast of office drones hell-bent on making their annual Christmas party — or, as McKinnon says in the trailer, “nondenominational holiday mixer” — into a bacchanal of legendary proportions.
The comedy is directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, the team that brought us 2007’s Blades of Glory, in which Will Ferrell and Jon Heder played ice-skating rivals who join forces to crush Amy Poehler and Will Arnett’s evil duo at the Olympics. If that perennial favorite is any indication, Office Christmas Party could be a holiday classic in the making.
Office Christmas Party will hit theaters on December 9.
