Debate double date! Jennifer Aniston and husband Justin Theroux hosted his Girl on the Train costar Emily Blunt and her husband, John Krasinski, for a casual night in to watch the presidential debate on Monday, September 26.
The British actress, 33, and The Office alum, 36, were spotted exiting Aniston and Theroux’s New York City home on Monday evening in nearly matching outfits. Blunt wore a white T-shirt, jeans and neon yellow sandals with a navy duster coat, while Krasinski also donned a white tee, jeans and a navy jacket.
It seems the couples were watching Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump face off in the first debate of the 2016 election. The Leftovers star, 45, shared an Instagram about moderator Lester Holt that compared him to Where’s Waldo? because the NBC journalist wasn’t active enough during the 90-minute event. Theroux captioned the meme, “#whereislesterholt.”
Theroux gushed earlier this week that one of the reasons his marriage to Aniston, 47, works is because they both love each other’s humor. “We appreciate each other’s sense of humor, we respect one another and we get along,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I know it sounds simple, but it’s true!”
The Wanderlust costars tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony at their Los Angeles home in August 2015. The Friends alum was previously married to Brad Pitt, who is currently going through a messy split from wife Angelina Jolie after 12 years together and is under investigation by the FBI for alleged child abuse for an incident on the couple’s private jet.
As Us Weekly exclusively reported, the Horrible Bosses actress hopes for the best for Pitt despite their complicated past. She “never wanted this for them or wished this on them,” a source told Us. However, the source said, Aniston “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split.”
