The first indication of the tots’ triumphant return occurred on Thursday, October 18, when the fast-food chain shared what sounded like an ode to the burger accompaniments alongside an Instagram photo that showed off all their cheesy greatness. “First, it’s crispy. Then, it’s cheesy. Then it’s gone,” the caption said, later adding that Cheesy Tots will only be gracing consumers with their presence for a limited (unspecified) time.
Though the home of the Whopper neglected to provide any additional information regarding exactly when the tots were brought back or how long they will be around for, but they do appear on the restaurant’s website, indicating they will be available for the foreseeable future.
Per the Burger King website, Cheesy Tots, which are sold in servings of eight, are described as “melted cheese potato bites covered in a crunchy bread crumb coating.” What’s more? The tots are “served hot and crispy” with each order to ensure maximum enjoyment.
In a second Instagram post confirming the return of the Tots on Wednesday, October 24, Burger King described them as “part American cheese, part mozzarella, all parts delicious.”
