Who is ready for some serious ‘90s snack nostalgia?! Planters, the makers of all those peanuts, announced on Tuesday, June 26, that after much consideration and input from consumers, they have decided to bring back its beloved Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls snacks.

The cheese-tastic duo were popular in the 1990s, but haven’t been sold for 12 years after Planters stopped making them back around 2006. Their absence left many upset, and one woman named Lindsay Connors even organized a petition through Change.org about four years ago to bring the snacks back.

“Food is a wholly and completely unbiased, nonpartisan, and terribly vital component of what it means to be human. I have faith in humanity, but if we can’t even agree on scrumptious snacks, then I don’t know what we can agree on,” the petition stated. “Let’s get Kraft Foods to bring back these wrongly discontinued and super tasty Planters products!”

It appears Kraft and Planters have finally listened to Lindsay and the thousands of others who were missing the cheese treats. “We heard many impassioned pleas for us to bring Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls back over the years and we wanted to give our fans a chance to reunite with their most-missed cheesy snack,” Planters Head of Brand Building Melanie Huet said in a press release.

And if you’re thinking there’s no way the Cheez Balls and Curls of today can live up to the ’90s originals, then think again! Added Huet: “We made sure our Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls still have the same delicious taste, airy texture and fluorescent color you know and love, so our fans can enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane with every canister.”
