Kim Kardashian has beef with Jack in the Box. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to Twitter on Monday, May 20, to share a series of mysterious messages aimed at the fast-food chain.
“Hey, Jack In The Box I have a serious complaint but I won’t fully put you on blast, check your corporate email inbox or send me a DM with direct person for my team to contact. Pronto!” the reality star began.
Kardashian, 38, then clarified the nature of her gripe with the popular restaurant. “I would like to add that this is not about me or a wrong order,” she continued. “Nobody recognized me and it’s something that I observed that affected other customers at this particular location that was concerning.”
After some logistical back and forth (Jack in the Box was initially unable to send Kardashian a direct message via Twitter), it seems the two were eventually able to talk it out and reach some sort of satisfying conclusion.
Though the KKW Beauty founder declined to elaborate on what her “complaint” was, about eight hours after her initial tweet she shared: “Thank you @JackBox for the quick response and handling the situation!”
Jack in the Box responded, providing some additional insight into what may have ticked off the well-known star. “Thanks, Kim, for talking with us today,” the eatery tweeted back. “We are taking actions to ensure that everyone has positive experiences when visiting Jack in the Box.”
Still, given Kardashian called out the company in front of her 60 million Twitter followers without really divulging what happened, many celebs were quick to criticize her approach to the situation. “Hey @JackBox there is a woman wearing a red sweater with shoulder pads at your Hickory, NC location. Can you tell me what brand it is? #dontblastJack @KimKardashian,” Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel quipped.
Amateur MMA fighter Tony Posnanski tweeted: “Kim Kardashian of all people pissed me off today. I’m sick of f––king entitled famous rich people who think the world owes them something. If you have a f––king problem with Jack In The Box, email them or call the manager like a normal person. Don’t embarrass online.”
However, as some online users were quick to point out, it’s possible that given how Kardashian is currently studying to be a lawyer and taking up various legal causes, her complaint may have had substantial merit. As one Twitter user replied to Posnanski: “What if it’s a bigger complaint than you realize? What if it’s about employment practices or something? Given the last 6-12 mos of her life, it’s certainly a possibility.”
