Lisa Vanderpump couldn’t be more proud of her upcoming restaurant. The reality star’s latest venture, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, is scheduled to open in March in Las Vegas, and for the entrepreneur, the impending debut of her 36th restaurant has been a welcome distraction from all the drama surrounding The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 9, which is currently airing.
“It’s such a compliment to be invited to open a restaurant at Caesars Palace, which is iconic, really. I mean, I grew up knowing about Caesars Palace,” the 58-year-old told Us Weekly exclusively at a preview event for her newest establishment. “I remember when I first went there years and years ago, so to be asked to open a restaurant there, I’m so glad and I’m so excited to do so.”
Though all of the reality star’s other current restaurants are located in Los Angeles, the move to Las Vegas, and especially to Caesars Palace, made perfect sense. “They know that every restaurant and location that we open is unique, and if you look at all our restaurants, every one has its own identity,” Vanderpump dished. “I think that the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, it’ll be like an oasis in the middle of the craziness that Vegas has to offer.”
Speaking of craziness, the Vanderpump Rosé creator hinted that there’s still plenty of discord between her and her RHOBH costars Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne and Teddi Mellencamp, all of whom Us Weekly previously revealed the Pump owner refused to film with after they allegedly caught her in a lie.
Vanderpump told Us she hasn’t extended an invite to Vanderpump Cocktail Garden to any of the other housewives, though she did reveal that she remains in contact with costars Denise Richards and Camille Grammer, despite her own uncertain future on the show. “Denise Richards is always very kind and very sweet to me. She has always been and she texted me today and I definitely connected with her. Camille has always been lovely to me,” she explained.
“But the rest, they kind of gang up,” the Vanderpump Dogs owner added, noting she has faced similar situations in earlier seasons of the Bravo hit. “This is the fourth time I’ve been involved with that kind of thing.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
