If you’ve ever wanted to eat like Buddy the elf, now is your chance! The sugar-loving character from 2003’s Elf had a penchant for adding sweets to whatever foods he could, including spaghetti, and now a restaurant in Chicago is selling a Buddy-approved take on the Italian staple.

Simply called Elf Pasta, the dish, which is available now through December 25 at Miss Ricky’s restaurant inside Chicago’s Virgin Hotel, is virtually identical to the meal Buddy prepped in the movie, with a few flavorful upgrades.

While Buddy’s creation featured spaghetti topped with various candies, chocolate sauce, maple syrup and crumbled Pop Tarts, Miss Ricky’s version includes pasta that has been mixed with strawberry and raspberry sauces, marshmallows, s’more Pop-Tarts, M&Ms, Oreos, Fruity Pebbles, coconut flakes, syrup and chocolate sauce. Sugar coma, much?

The sticky-carb creation costs $15, and is meant to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the holiday classic’s release, which fell on Wednesday, November 7.

However, while Buddy is obviously a fan of this sickeningly-sweet spaghetti dish, which isn’t surprising given his main food groups are candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup, social media users seem a bit split. While some are eager to give the meal a try, others feel sugar-soaked spaghetti is meant for Buddy the elf and Buddy the elf only.

One naysayer called it “culinary blasphemy,” while another Instagram user, who made the dish as a child, was a bit more optimistic, wondering, “Maybe my adult tastebuds would like it.”
