Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested on Tuesday, May 26, and booked on domestic violence charges in Wisconsin, according to arrest records viewed by US Weekly.
Jacobs, 28, faces a pair of felony assault charges for strangulation and suffocation. He was also charged with misdemeanors for battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and intimidation. He is being held without bond.
The Packers star’s arrest came after an alleged incident on Saturday, May 22, to which the Hobart-Lawrence police department was dispatched.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time,” Hobart-Lawrence police chief Michael Renkas said in a statement to ESPN.
The Packers released a similar statement to the outlet, with head coach Matt LaFleur scheduled to speak with the media on Wednesday, May 27, as part of the team’s voluntary OTAs.
“As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment,” the team said.
The NFL added that it is aware of Jacobs’ arrest and is in communication with the Packers regarding the matter.
Jacobs denied the allegations against him in a statement from his lawyers provided to Us.
“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course,” attorneys David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac said in the statement.
Jacobs completed his second season with the Packers in 2025, rushing for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also tallying 282 receiving yards with an additional touchdown reception. A three-time Pro Bowler and national champion in college with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Jacobs is entering year three of a four-year, $48 million contract he signed with Green Bay before the 2024 season.
Jacobs has largely kept his personal life private but rumors that he is dating OnlyFans model Ash Kaash began when he posted a video via SnapChat of the two holding hands at the beach in January. Neither party has officially confirmed their suspected relationship, but Jacobs responded during a live stream in February when asked if he planned to marry Kaash, 29.
“Time will tell,” Jacobs responded. “You ain’t never seen me in public with a b****… I been talking to her, only known her since 2021. I am getting to the point where I’m like, ‘Alright, maybe gotta figure it out.”
It is unknown if Kaash was involved in the incident leading to Jacobs’ arrest.
