Russell Wilson is addressing his rumored next steps after saying goodbye to the NFL.

“Well, listen, when your alma mater calls, you always answer,” Wilson, 37, said on the Friday, November 6, broadcast of Today With Jenna and Sheinelle when asked about a speculative job interview for a coaching position at NC State. “Listen, I love doing what I’m doing.”

In June, Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons. (The Super Bowl-winning quarterback played for the Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants during his professional career.)

Since retirement, Wilson has flexed new muscles as a sports commentator.

“CBS is amazing, it’s a blast,” he noted on Friday’s episode. “I’m focused on right now, and now is loving what I’m doing on TV.”

In addition to his broadcast duties, Wilson has his hands full at home. The former NFL star and his wife, Ciara, announced in September that they are expecting their fourth baby together. (Ciara, 41, also shares eldest son Future, 11, with rapper ex Future.)

“It’s funny, when we were first met we talked about … bucket lists [and] how many kids we want to have,” he added on Friday. “She always wanted five.”

Ciara further noted that, as an only child herself, she always dreamed of having a “big family.”

“I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job in the world,” she gushed on Today, going on to tease Wilson’s support during childbirth. “He makes the process fun for me, especially my deliveries. It’s like a vacation. Well, you always want a safe process, but he gets into it. He has the twinkle lights in my room that I go it. He hooks it up [and] he has the Apple TV.”

The pop star added, “I don’t want to be too fancy for people watching, but we come prepared. We have the pillows we like, all the things, but he’s into it with me and he’s very calm.”

Until her delivery, Ciara acknowledged that her pregnancy has been “kind of the same” as her previous ones.

“Nausea traveled a little longer for me, but overall, I’m rolling,” she quipped. “That’s why I keep doing this!”

Ciara has long been candid about the joys of motherhood and her expanding brood.

“I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all,” she exclusively told Us in July. “I think the greatest discovery for me is learning that I can figure it out.” Ciara continued at the time. “From the first day that I decided to be a mom, I was definitely really like, ‘OK, what’s this world going to be like?’ A little uncertain, but I also had great faith and confidence in myself that it was going to be a beautiful chapter.”
