The '70s trend is (ah, ah, ah, ah) staying alive, thanks to Amal Alamuddin!

Holding fast to her love of disco era-inspired street style, Mrs. George Clooney, 37, stepped out in NYC on Tuesday, March 24, working one heck of a retro ensemble—including a crop top!

The British barrister who is well known for her prim and proper style, embraced her wild side in a fur crop top, revealing just a small flash of her flat tummy. She also modeled yellow and brown, zigzag-embellished bell-bottom pants and platform heels, all by Giambattista Valli.

But to keep the look modern, Alamuddin, 37, topped the whole look off with a simple black coat, which she left unbuttoned to reveal the bold outfit underneath.

This certainly isn't the first time Alamuddin has shown her love for the decade: The night before, the Lebanese-born beauty, who will soon start her stint as a law professor at Columbia University, joined her husband and his mother, Nina Bruce Warren, at the Italian eatery, Patsy's, where she sported a leopard-print coat and wide-leg jeans.

An onlooker told Us Weekly it was quite the romantic outing for the pair. "George and Amal sat next to each other at the table—they kept smiling at each other," the observer said. "As they were leaving, they were both laughing, and Amal had her hand on his back."
