Although Amy Winehouse wasn't able to release another album before her sudden death at the age of 27 on July 23, fans of the Grammy-winning artist can still get their hands on a collection of clothing that she helped create with designer Fred Perry.
After meeting with the late singer's family out of respect, the British sportswear brand announced that the remaining two Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry Collections would be released this upcoming fall and spring, Women’s Wear Daily reported Monday.
"When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue," Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father, said in a statement posted on WWD. "Amy loved working on both collections and would want them to be made available."
The first collection, which is currently available on FredPerry.com, includes 50s-inspired pieces ranging from tailored houndstooth shift dresses to checkered tops. Proceeds from the line will go toward the soon-to-be-established Amy Winehouse Foundation that's being spearheaded by Mitch himself. "In this country, if you cannot afford a private rehabilitation clinic, there is a two year waiting list for help," he told Us Weekly last month. "We are trying to change that. The foundation is going to help thousands of people — that [will be] Amy's legacy."
Winehouse, who was a long-time fan of the label, had previously collaborated with the designer on a 17-piece collection (that she modeled for the campaign) released in spring 2011.
