TGIF — are we right?! The weekend is finally here, and this time, we’re going to spend it trying out all the best style and beauty tricks we found this week — starting with Lupita Nyong’o‘s metallic makeup moment.

1. Match Your Eye Shadow to Your Skirt

At the L.A. premiere of The Jungle Book, Nyong’o modeled rose gold eye shadow, which perfectly matched her sequined car wash skirt by J.Crew. Her makeup artist Nick Barose used three Lancôme products to create the shimmering eye: Aquatique Waterproof Eyecolour Base in Sienne ($26.50) as a base, with Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Smooth Hold in Pose ($20) on top and a touch of Hypnose Dazzling Limited Edition cream shadow in Bronze Orfèvre ($25) at the center of the lid.

Her hairstylist Vernon François added even more drama with a modern take on the afro, wrapped with a custom cotton tie. “Lupita needed to look Amazonian while still staying relevant to the playfulness of The Jungle Book,” he told Us. “The style feels big, yet soft with loads of texture.”

2. Add Edge to a Classic Style

Emmy Rossum finished her timeless Who What Wear for Target LBD with a set of pearl earrings by Veronika Borchers x Pearl Collective Orion Bar Studs ($500, pearlcollective.com) at the Marimekko for Target launch in NYC. But not just any pearls — these babies are accented with bars, adding instant fierceness. (We’re not mad at her Sophia Webster butterfly shoes, either.)

One week after Christian Louboutin unveiled his collection of ballet flats for every skin tone, Caption Polish debuted nude nail polish in eight shades, so you can finally find your exact match. ($12 for one or $40 for a set of four, captionpolish.com)
