Beautyblender Is Donating Proceeds to the Victims of the California Wildfires

Miley Cyrus, Gerard Butler, Brody Jenner, Camille Grammer and Robin Thicke are among those who have lost their homes and property to the deadly California wildfires, while countless other celebs (Kim Kardashian, Caitlyn Jenner, Julia Roberts and more) have been forced to evacuate while firefighters work tirelessly to contain the flames. There are dozens of organizations raising money and supplies for first responders and victims, and there are even some beauty brands getting in on the action.

Beautyblender (you know, the purveyors of those colorful teardrop sponges that ensure your makeup looks #flawless) announced that it is donating the proceeds of all sales made on its website — Beautyblender.com — on Tuesday, November 13, to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund. The brand has also pledged to match the proceeds to double the donation.

The CCF Wildfire Relief Fund helps to rebuild homes, provide healthcare services, financial assistance and other basic needs to those affected by natural disasters. On Instagram, SoCal-based Beautyblender founder Rea Ann Silva shared her feelings of sadness over the devestation, while praising all those who have come to their aid.

“This week has been so challenging for my family and so many others. The strength and courage of our Fire Depts and Police agencies and so many good citizens have saved many lives and furry babies,” she wrote. “We are contributing 100% of sales and matching it today to @calfund Wild Fire relief fund Please help us raise money to support relief go to beautyblender.com❤🙏🏽🙌🏽”

So if you were looking for an excuse to get a new Beautyblender (you are supposed to replace it every three months, after all), today seems like as a good a chance as any to treat yourself and give back.
