Curves ahead!
Cate Blanchett flaunted her figure and slipped into a snug midi dress for a Louis Vuitton Exhibition opening in Tokyo on April 21. The Carol lead, 46, picked a design created by LV’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiére.
From afar, the frock’s bodice appears to feature a black and yellow bustier — but upon closer inspection, it’s clear that the black, white and yellow dress with leather sleeves is pieced together with panels. The “bustier” connects to the dress’ pencil skirt, which flares out into a series of feminine ruffles, adding a fun and feminine contrast to the bold look. Simple silver sandals and silver drop earrings provided finishing touches.
Though she was all done up on Thursday, Blanchett, who’s the mom of Roman, Edith, Dashiell and Ignatius with husband Andrew Upton, has been open about her low-key method of prepping before big events. “Take a bath. Have a massage. Put on a facial mask and lie down,” she revealed in a February Elle interview.
