What a grand date night!
George Clooney and his new wife Amal Alamuddin made their first red carpet appearance together since saying "I do" at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Beverly Hills. The human rights lawyer, 36, supported her actor-husband to accept the Cecil B. DeMille Award for demonstrating outstanding achievement in film and television. His former ER love interest Julianna Margulies is set to present him with the trophy.
Mrs. Clooney looked regal in a black curve-hugging Dior gown with a silk cross-shoulder draped overlay, and accessorized with white satin opera gloves and a matching clutch. Alamuddin wore her long, dark hair in shiny, loose curls, while sporting a punchy red lip.
The Monuments Men star, 53, complemented his wife's ensemble in a dark gray suit. Asked whether Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's jabs during last year's telecast gave him the extra nudge to make it down the aisle, Clooney remarked, "I didn't do it just for them."
The couple married in a lavish ceremony at the Aman Canal Grande hotel in Venice, Italy, on Saturday, Sept. 27.
