Pregnant Gigi Hadid is “growing an angel.” On Wednesday, August 26, the 25-year-old nearly broke the internet by sharing breathtaking black-and-white photos from her maternity photo shoot.
In the pics, shot by famed fashion photography duo Luigi and Iango, the supermodel stuns in flowy gowns that complement her baby bump. Unsurprisingly, the modeling pro looked insanely beautiful, but apparently, the photo shoot wasn’t as easy as she made it look.
A fan took to Twitter to ask Hadid about her experience modeling while pregnant. “How was shooting with your baby bump for the first time?” the curious social media user asked.
“I loved it,” Yolanda Hadid’s daughter replied. “I knew what I wanted from the pics and Gab and L&I really made it happen for me🥺🙏🤍 but was definitely more tiring than working normally.”
She continued, “Got through the second look and was like ‘guys I think I can only do two more’ 😰 hahaaaa.”
The photo shoot was styled by fashion expert Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and the supermodel’s glam was brought to life by her longtime makeup artist Erin Parsons. One of her outfits was a wet dress by Grecian designer Dimitra Petsa, from her fashion label, Di Petsa. Kylie Jenner has also modeled Petsa’s ensembles.
“Cherishing this time,” the model captioned one of the shots. “Appreciate all the love & well wishes ♡ will never forget creating these special images with my friends.” She also tagged her maternity photo shoot squad and added, “Thank you. I love you!”
On April 28, Us Weekly confirmed that the model is expecting a baby girl with her boyfriend, Zayn Malik. The California native officially announced the news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Falon on April 30. “Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms,” she told viewers. “But we’re very excited, happy, and grateful for everyone’s well-wishes.”
“I’m excited to become an Oma in September, especially after I lost my mom so recently,” Yolanda told Dutch publication RTL Boulevard. “But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”
