Hayden Panettiere was all smiles on the Critics' Choice Awards 2016 red carpet on Sunday, January 17, in Santa Monica in her first formal appearance since announcing she was seeking treatment for postpartum depression in October.
The Nashville star, 26, who along with her boxer fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, welcomed baby girl Kaya in December 2014, looked radiant in a flowing peach gown by Maria Lucia Hohan. The beaded halter-neck featured a sexy keyhole cutout that put her cleavage on display. She accessorized with Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals, statement earrings and rings and a pearl clutch.
Panettiere's makeup reflected the radiant hue of her gown. Celeb makeup artist Amy Oresman prepped her skin with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel before applying Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 20. "I highlighted her neck, cheeks and nose with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends in Luminous, giving her skin an extra pop and glow," Oresman told Us Weekly.
The Heroes alum also worked her shorter hairstyle, which she debuted in November, in a soft, curly look. "Chopping hair off is like getting rid of metaphorical and literal dead ends," she shared on Twitter at the time. "Off with the old and growing the new."
Panettiere, whose Nashville character is also suffered from PPD, revealed that she was shocked by the reaction she's received in the wake of her announcement. "I've gotten an incredible amount of support and I was actually really surprised cause I feel like I grew up in this industry that, in my mind, was very judgmental," she told Entertainment Tonight.
Panettiere made her first red carpet appearance with Klitschko, 39, at the Ein Herz Fuer Kinder Gala 2015 on December 5 in Berlin.
