Happy birthday, Cara Delevingne! In honor of the 28-year-old’s special day on Wednesday, August 12, Kaia Gerber shared a pic of their matching “solemate” foot tattoos.
“Happy birthday to my soulmate @caradelevingne,” Cindy Crawford’s daughter wrote as a text overlay on an Instagram Story photo of the friends with their hands and feet intertwined.
These little foot designs aren’t brand new, but this is the closest look we’ve had. Back in May, a Delevingne Twitter fan account posted a black-and-white photo of Gerber snapping a pic of their feet to get what appears to be the aforementioned tattoo pic. Still no word on who did the punny design.
Both models have the word “solemate” tattooed in all caps on the inner part of their feet, playing on the words “soul” and “sole” since the ink is on their feet.
This wasn’t the only intimate moment Gerber shared for the model’s birthday. She shared a variety of touching pics of the duo together. For instance, in the second one, she posted a photo of Delevingne wearing a white hoodie featuring photos of the 18-year-old model. “The only person who wears my face on a sweatshirt,” Gerber wrote on top of the pic.
And in one of the last celebratory snaps posted to Gerber’s Instagram Story, she shared a photo from when the two attended a Black Lives Matter protest outside of the Hall of Justice in L.A. in July. The younger of the two friends donned a green sundress decorated in a floral design and Delevingne wore a casual-cool ensemble consisting of a white tank top and black shorts.
That same month, Gerber posted a mirror selfie of her and Delevingne wearing a replica of the cardigan that their friend Taylor Swift wears in her music video for the new song.
“@taylorswift we love our CARDIGAN,” the model wrote on the photo.
