Katie Holmes’ winter style is Blair Waldorf-approved.
Holmes, 46, stepped out in a look so chic that Queen B would be asking to borrow it, as seen in New York City on Wednesday, December 18. Her outfit featured a black blazer from Maison Mayle ($645) with gold buttons and lots of pockets. Holmes added the perfect amount of bling to her look with a gold Coronation belt from the same designer. The shimmery accessory drew attention to her snatched waist with a silver coin design.
Holmes, who also celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, kept the rest of her look casual with blue straight jeans, black leather boots and a matching purse. She further accessorized with sheer brown sunglasses featuring an ombré tint and a black knit beanie.
The actress donned her go-to laid back glam with pink lips. She braided her brunette strands and tossed her mane over her shoulder.
Holmes’ birthday look reminded Us of Gossip Girl’s Blair, played by Leighton Meester, who owned the Upper East Side in timeless coats, plaid sets, knit caps, lace stockings and more.
While filming in 2007, Blair looked effortlessly chic in a plaid cropped jacket featuring cape sleeves and a matching mini skirt with a black tulle lining. The pleated design featured pink stripes, which matched her bubblegum-colored undershirt. She kept warm while ice skating in a white and brown winter hat and white ivory.
To tie her look together, Blair wore opaque white tights and pink pom moms on her skates.
Blair again gave Us fashion inspo with her black winter coat — similar to Holmes’, which she wore in 2009. Blair added a pop of color to her look with a cherry red purse and completed her ensemble with lace tights and patent leather pumps.
