Melissa Rivers ranked the Kardashian-Jenner family’s Met Gala 2026 looks from best to worst, exclusively telling Us Weekly that “they got the memo.”
After Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Kris Jenner walked the red carpet at the New York City event on Monday, May 4, Rivers, 58, told Us that they all “understood” the “Costume Art” theme.
“So I think [the] best of them was Kylie in the Schiaparelli,” she said. Kylie, 28, stunned in a Custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture look l that consisted of a nude top that seamlessly blended into a white gown at the bottom, giving the illusion that the white gown was draping off of Kylie’s body.
“Because that is exactly what it was supposed to be about the art of dressing and the art of fashion and the body,” Rivers said of Kylie’s look. “It was spectacular.”
Rivers also said she was a fan of Kendall’s cream-colored GAP by Zac Posen gown, which featured an asymmetrical corset top with gathered fabric at the waist.
“Kendall looked beyond in Zac Posen,” she said, noting that the designer said the look was “Hellenic, which is Grecian, that bone color.”
The “Melissa Rivers’ Group Chat Podcast” host pointed out a common theme among the family members, which was that they were all seemingly “rocking that Skims nipple thing.” She added of Kendall, “She had the one boob cup thing with the nipple.”
“Kylie for top, then Kendall, Kris, Kim,” Rivers concluded on her ranking.
Kardashian, 45, wore a sculptural copper look while posing for photos on the red carpet, though that wasn’t her only ensemble of the evening. She teamed up with British artist Allen Jones for several looks that were created alongside duo Whitaker Malem Creative, which consists of Patrick Whitaker and Keir Malem. Kardashian took to Instagram to share several looks that fans didn’t get to see on the red carpet.
“I hate saying predictable, but we saw a lot of the body sculpted … that kind of thing,” Rivers said of Kardashian’s red carpet look. “Of course, she looked amazing, but I think that her two younger sisters totally beat her.”
Kris, 70, also turned heads at the event, wearing a floor-length Dolce & Gabbana robe.
Rivers admitted she thought “Kris looked more interesting than Kim,” adding that “Kim’s was made by an artist.”
“I understand all that, you know, it was molded on the ‘60s. It represented a ‘60s model,” Rivers continued of Kardashian’s outfit. “I understood the thought process.”
At the end of the day, Rivers made it clear that she believes the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sisters had the best looks of the night. “But I think it’s gonna be hard for anyone to get past Kim and Kylie and Kendall this year,” she said.
