Cyrus, 32, commanded attention with bleached eyebrows as she posed on the 2025 Oscars red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2. As she graced the awards show, she debuted her invisible brows, which blended into her skin. Cyrus teamed her high-fashion look with a full beat including smokey eyeshadow blended into her crease. She made her glam even edgier with black pigment tightlining her eyes, sharp contour and nude lips. Her caramel brown hair was parted to the side and styled in voluminous curls.
The Grammy winner’s ensemble didn’t stop there. Cyrus elevated her futuristic glam with a black McQueen dress that showed off her tattoos. The frock featured a high neck, a fitted bodice adorned with delicate sequins and a sheer skirt that cascaded into a flowy train. She accessorized with sheer cropped gloves, pointed-toe heels and a diamond bracelet and dangling earrings.
Fans shared their mixed reactions to Cyrus’ bold glam via social media. “Don’t care for the brows but look great!!” one wrote via Instagram, as another agreed, “Love everything except for the eyebrows.”
While some observers were not loving her bleached brows, other fans complimented her look, writing, “SICKENING 😍❤️.” A second praised, “It’s bewitching,” while a third gushed, “Mother is mothering.”
Cyrus has had no shortage of fierce red carpet moments. At the 2024 Grammys, she left little to the imagination in a custom Maison Margiela gold dress. Let’s also not forget when she debuted a platinum pixie cut back in 2012, a huge difference from her signature brunette strands.
Cyrus is not the only celeb who has said goodbye to her eyebrows as of late. In January, Joey King showed off her bleached strands while sipping a cocktail on a rooftop. Miley’s sister Noah Cyrus has also rocked bleached brows since January 2023.
