Big Apple attitude: "I love the fact that people in New York walk around in anything and they just feel so comfortable in their own skin. People here will wear a pair of flip-flops with an evening gown and it can make it work," says the lifelong Manhattan resident, who counts Chanel and Hermes among her favorite labels. "I'll take a lot more risks today than I ever did and I'll feel a lot more comfortable in them."
Mom knows best: "My mother gave me the best fashion advice: No matter what you wear, always walk with confidence and feel like you look the best you can," says Schwartz, who creates bling for Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively and Kim Kardashian (yep, she designed that 20.5 carat whopper on Mrs. Humphries' finger).
Tint-seltown talk: "Great colored pieces can really brighten you up. For example, the way we styled Angelina Jolie for the Oscars in emerald earrings. The color just gives you a 'Pow,'" says Schwartz.
It's all in the details: "I really believe that jewelry is just like an outfit, like a low-cut dress, which shows off your body and makes you feel sexy," says Schwartz. "It can age you or make you look younger, so always pick jewelry that makes you feel a little younger and sexy; it changes the attitude of how you act!"
