That looks familiar! Pregnant Emily Blunt worked the maternity style du jour at the opening night for Dry Powder at the Public Theater in NYC Tuesday, March 22.
The Sicario star, 33, who is pregnant with her second child, looked radiant in a ribbed gray dress that accentuated her growing belly, as she posed with her husband, John Krasinski. She layered a black floor-sweeping poncho over the knee-length frock and rounded out the ensemble with a pair of opaque tights and black heels.
Made popular by Kim Kardashian (during her pregnancy with Saint West, 3 months) and copied by Chrissy Teigen, Blunt is the latest celeb to prove that a fitted frock and a duster coat are universally flattering on pregnant women.
Teigen has been completely honest about copying Kardashian’s pregnancy uniform. “[Kardashian] told me to go stretchy,” she explained to InStyle Australia in January. “I always wanted to be the person who showed off the bump because it looks beautiful and I think you should embrace it. Kim does that well, and I love seeing that belly of hers and I know Kanye [West] does too. We’re lucky to be with men who find pregnancy sexy. Thank God!”
