It was all about that glow for Salma Hayek at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. The brunette beauty has been stunning in an array of colorful gowns at the annual French fete, and she rocked a beaded teal frock and glowing makeup look while supporting filmmaker Eva Husson at the Girls of the Sun screening on Saturday, May 12. Charlotte Tilbury global creative lead artist Christine Valerie was behind the naturally radiant look and broke down exactly how to recreate it on Instagram.

Calling the shimmering eye, flushed cheek and neutral lip “hypnotizing,” the pro hinted that it takes some creative layering to master Salma’s fresh face. For a bronzy smokey eye (a lighter and brighter take on the classic smoked out look), Valerie blended the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise cream shadows in Star Gold and Rose Gold with the Smoke and Enhance shades from the new Bigger Brighter Eyes Palette in Exagger-Eyes palette.

To further define the actress’ peepers, Valerie used the Classic eyeliner in Audrey (a chocolate brown) and a coating of the new Legendary Lashes Volume 2 mascara. To re-create those fabulously feathered brows, the makeup artist filled them in with the Brow Lift pencil in Brooke S (that’s in honor of the one and only Brooke Shields and her perfect brows) and brushed the Legendary Brows gel in Supermodel through to hold them in place.

When it came to achieving that otherworldly glow, she used the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette to sculpt and highlight, while the Hollywood Contour Wand and Hollywood Light Wand was blended for further depth and dimension where needed.

As for that your-lips-but-better pout, it’s all about mixing up your perfect shade. Valerie started by lining with the brand’s Lip Cheat liner in Hot Gossip for a natural base. From there, she mixed her Hot Lips lipstick in Hot Emily (a bright coral) with the Matte Revolution formula in Sexy Sienna (a warm peach). The result was a flattering neutral pink-coral that popped against the actress’ luminous complexion!
