Summer is almost done and dusted, but Sarah Hyland‘s strands are more sun-kissed than ever! The Modern Family actress, 25, debuted a bright blonde shade at BuzzFeed’s pre-Emmy party on Wednesday, September 14, in West Hollywood.
Hyland previously rocked “bronde” tresses featuring her natural brunette roots with honey highlights. But now she’s top-to-bottom blonde, with platinum and auburn highlights worked in for dimension.
“I did Sarah Hyland’s color yesterday! It was just a touch-up; however, it looks like a [big] change because this was stage two from taking her from almost black to blonde,” Nine Zero One co-owner Nikki Lee tells Us. “It’s always best to do it in stages so the hair remains healthy.”
She added, “I turned her into a golden goddess so she’s fresh and ready for the Emmys!”
The XOXO actress wore her hair styled into loose waves while leaving the salon. Plus, she sported a short-sleeved white tee, black skinny jeans and a bisque top-handle purse. Gold-rimmed sunglasses, a dainty necklace and a crystal bracelet rounded out her ensemble.
She then took her new ‘do for a spin at BuzzFeed Presents The Buzzies, a pre-Emmys party, at Hyde in West Hollywood. Candie’s Creative Director complemented the light shade with a blush Camilla and Marc dress with dainty spaghetti straps and nude sandals.
Hyland has been quite the color chameleon as of late. Earlier in the summer, she modeled long chocolate hair for her role as Lisa Houseman in the upcoming Dirty Dancing remake. Then she debuted strawberry tresses in July before returning to blonde, just in time for her return to the Modern Family set in August.
Of course, Hyland is hardly the first celeb to go blonde for summer 2016. Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, Dakota Johnson, Lana Del Rey and Kristen Stewart, just to name a few, have all lightened up this season.
