At 80 years old, Barbara Walters is still one of the most thriving TV personalities.
Walters is a longtime journalist, having previously been an anchor for The Today Show, the ABC Evening News and 20/20. Her reputation thrives on the exclusive interviews she’s had over the years, including ones with Michael Jackson and Anna Wintour. ABC eventually granted her own 20/20 spinoff, The Barbara Walters Special, which recently highlighted the lives of Patrick Swayze and Farrah Fawcett.
Her most recognizable endeavor to date is as co-creator, co-executive producer and co-host of The View. She was a part of the original panel back in 1997. Thirteen seasons in, she shares the spotlight with Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepard.
She has been married and divorced three times (to business exec Robert Henry Katz, theatrical producer Lee Guber and Lorimar Television CEO Merv Adelson). The famed talk show host has also confessed to having an affair with then-married Sen. Edward Brooke in the 1970s.
