Dad: Josh Hopkins "Is Very Fond of" Courteney Cox

Although a source insists that Courteney Cox's St. Barth's sexy vacation with Cougar Town costar Josh Hopkins is "strictly, strictly platonic," at least one person is keeping his fingers crossed for something more: Hopkins' dad!

For the second day in a row, a bikini-clad Cox, 46, was photographed chilling on the beach with Hopkins, 40, and Coco, her 6-year-old daughter with estranged husband David Arquette.

"They are both very good looking people," U.S. Congressman Larry Hopkins, the actor's dad, tells RadarOnline.

If Hopkins indeed gets romantic with Cox, "I would approve of it," the politician added, although he admitted he's unsure where the pair stands now. See more photos of the duo's sexy beach getaway.

"I know he likes her and is very fond of her," he says. "He said she's a very nice person...If he approves of her, then I approve of her."
