Monaco's Prince Albert Is Engaged

Prince Albert of Monaco, 52, is getting married, a Monaco Palace spokeswoman confirmed to UsMagazine.com Wednesday.
He popped the question to Charlene Wittstock, 32, the former South African Olympic swimmer-turned school teacher.
"There is no date yet," Laetitia Pierrat, the Monaco Palace spokeswoman, told Us.

As for rumors that Wittstock is pregnant, a spokeswoman told the Associated Press: "Honestly, I don't think so."
The couple have been dating since 2000 when she was in Monaco for a swimming competition. She moved into the palace in 2006.
This will be a first marriage for Monaco's monarch, the son of the late film star Grace Kelly and the late Rainer III, Prince of Monaco.

Albert made headlines in 2005 when he announced that he had fathered a child with a Togolese flight attendant. A year later, he admitted having a second child out of wedlock: a daughter, now 18, who lives in California.

OK, is it just me or is it just weird that a 52 year old man is engaged for the first time after years of being a so called "eternal" bachelor? He is just doing this probably because he is being pressured by the rest of the royal family to be married in order to get the crown properly. Kind of like Prince Charles. This'll go down in flames just like Charles and Di did. This is just weird to me!

Who cares if he had two babies with other women? I am sure these baby mamas got preggers on purpose to marry him. Guess their plan did not work! Good for him to find love. It doesn't matter if he is 52 years-old. There is age limit to fall in love. I am glad he was smart enough to stick to his gut and not marry the baby-mamas just cause they got pregnant. All of Princess Grace's kids are total messes! Stephanie is beyond gutter white trash, Caroline was once of on the most beautiful women in the world but she has ruined her looks with too much smokes, booze and sun, and then we have this guy. He has a half black kid with a stewardress and some other kid somewhere with the classy name of "Jasmine". He looks gay and she does not look very happy. She look like she is pushing him away. What happened in that family to produce these three messed up people? Didn't his mother die at age 52, and now he decides to get married at that age? Strange.
