Trendy tot!

A month after rocking bright red lipstick while on a lunch date with mom Courteney Cox, 7-year-old Coco has gotten some blonde highlights!

Alongside her mom, the pint-sized fashionista emerged from a salon in Malibu on Thursday with blonde-streaked strands that look just like Jennifer Aniston's famous golden locks. So could Aniston, who is Coco's godmother, be having a beauty influence on her teeny goddaughter?

It wouldn't be the first time Coco has sported a hair trend that paid homage to the adults in her life: On June 11 she left a Malibu salon with purple and blue streaks in her hair, one day after her aunt, Patricia Arquette, was spotted in Beverly Hills with a new purple-and-blue hairdo.

According to Courteney, Coco has always had strong opinions about beauty trends. "I have to battle with her," Cox told Harper's Bazaar in April. "I was walking out, and she goes, 'I don't want you to wear red lipstick.'"

I think ppl are forgetting how quick our young girls are growing up. My now 7 year old daughter has been bugging since she was 3 to have highlights done.......It's the new age if you ask me......I am honestly thinking about taking her to a salon as long as it is professionally done and letting her get a few. She wants to express herself and why not be fun about it if that's what there in to its not like it permanent, kids will be kids and unfortunately our kids are growing up in the new society and not back when everything was wrong.......things are so different now.........My daughter is such a great kid and does not ask for to much so if highlights is what she wants then i don't think its a big deal as long as its subtle and its never been the parents idea putting that in her head..........just my opinion......

Wow, apparently some people dont know HOW to read, it isnt a wig and it isnt "sun dyed". The article says she left a salon with her mom, they both had gotten stuff done there. And so what if she got a few streaks of blonde in her hair, worry more about her wearing bright red lipstick at 7. I see nothing wrong with her hair havin a lil bit of color. of coarse shes going to want to do more adult things, thats all shes around, and the adults in her life are GREAT people, at least shes NOT being lead in the WRONG way. Maybe she'll be the next big designer in another 10 yrs....

I can't believe how stupid this article is....last year everyone thought I dyed my daughter's hair as well and it was natural from going to the pool every day. I am sure that is the case here as well considering she is in a swimsuit! DUH!

Well with the way this wold is spinning so fast I'm not surprised that this 7 yr old is already getting her hair colored. Look at all their role models they idolize already, Miley comes to mind

Poor judgment. Plain stupid to make a little kid look or act like a woman. Reminds me of those kid beauty pageants. This is not dress up, it is permanent haircolor..on a SEVEN year old.

i do agree that a 7 year old should not be putting color in there hair, but at the same time who are any of us to cal her a bad mom, or any thing like that. im sure this one thing that she did does not make her a bad mom.

Streaking this little girls hair is a permanent thing til it grows out. This child needs to express herself freely according to her age. Streaking her hair at age 7 is a bit much.

Ridiculous. Kids should be kids not little adults. Letting a seven year old do what she wants, and give the orders, is the start of a spoiled brat. There are certain things that are age appropriate, and bleaching a 7 year olds hair is not one of them for 7.

I'll be damned if a seven-year-old is going to tell ME what kind of lipstick to wear.

I agree, since when does a 7 year old make these kind of decisions. There are many ways to let a child express themselves..in child ways. Let her wear a play wig or something like that, bleaching her hair is nuts.

Parents need to be parents. Seven year olds don't tell parents what to do, parents tell their kids what to do, and what is allowed or not. Already teaching her 7 year old, how to get what she wants. Bleached hair on a little kids is ridiculous. Expressing themselves is a bunch of crap. Weak parenting, and lack of guidance for the kid.

It looks like a wig to me. Look at how far back the part starts. It should be more forward on the forehead.

My husband and I are both brunettes and my daughter is very blonde. It happens.

@Jes Gibson- Are you familiar with Davids sisters Patricia and Roseanna? They are blondes (which I'm sure mostly comes from a bottle), however I recently saw their childhood pictures and they all (including David) had blonde hair as children.

both my parents are brunettes, I'm a natural blond and is my youngest sister. Another has golden brown and the last sister is a brunette. Both parents have blondes and redheads in the family history, my mother was blond as a small child. PS. It's just hair, it will grow out, even if purple blue or pale blonde highlights.

Does anyone else wonder why her hair is so light to begin with? Courtney and David are brunettes.... where does this light hair come from??? Also, who the hell highlights a 7 year old's hair???

Those kids in no way express themselves, they just do not life a kids life, instead of playing kids games with others, getting wild and dirty, they are at beauty salons or shopping sprees. There are children like Hugh Jackmanns Ava or the Affleck girls who are look and dress like little kids, they seem to have a great childhood. Look at the Beckham boys, sure they do have nannies, but they also have a healthy upbringing with a father, they playing soccer they surf, and the Pitt/Jolie kids play, learn, they have bruises like any active kid does, and they always have another child to play with, no lonely royalties who get the wrong kind of attention. So, there is nothing wrong with a kid that tries things like mums make up or smears something in his hair, but here is the difference...a professional make up or sitting around at some boring hair stylist for dumb highlights at this age, please, a normal kid doesn't have the time for such crab, it is out doing stuff with friends, building tree houses, selling lemonade, exploring nature, playing sports. If you have superficial and boring parents as a role model, what's to expect? Child does express THEM!
