They may not have had a lavish Hollywood ceremony, but Tom Brady says his quiet Feb. 26 wedding to supermodel Gisele Bundchen was "perfect."

What made the intimate gathering a day to remember?

"[After the ceremony], we went back to the house and I barbecued aged New York strips," Brady tells GQ magazine's December issue (out Nov. 24).

Revisit Tom and Gisele's most romantic moments.

"We had champagne, a cake, some ice cream. It was a great night." "We planned [the wedding] in, like, 10 days, and it was perfect," the New England Patriots quarterback, 32, continues.

Brady, who has an 18-month-old son, John, with ex Bridget Moynahan, says only close friends and family were invited to the traditional Catholic ceremony -- and that's just the way he wanted it.

"I think you always have this idea that weddings need to be 200 people and you invite everybody, and I'm all for it if people want to do that ... but I think there was really something special about just having our parents there," Brady says.

Brady and Bundchen, 29, will welcome their first child next month.

No offence, I'm not trying to be mean, but I think Tom can do better than her. Just saying.

Good for them, I don't get people who spend $25,000 on a wedding and take a year to plan it. Are they idiots? I had a $2,000 gown on sale from Bloomingdales for $750. We researched bakeries and our beautiful 5 tier cake was only $250.00. We saw bridesmaids dresses we loved, found a store bought pattern that matched, bought the material and each girl had someone make their dresses for them from the pattern for only $50 each. The reception was a beautiful park pavillion by a lake which was free, we strung up lights had a DJ, grilled out and had a fun, magnificant time. Weddings Do NOT have to be expensive. The flowers we bought from the corner store and bought beautiful satin ribbon and wrapped around them and made our own beautiful bouquets. They only cost like a $100 total, and then of course the guys, found a great placed that rented tuxes at wholesale prices. Most people want to blow all that money on a wedding to look impresive to show off. That's not a good way to start a new life. In debt because of a wedding. Pretty stupid.
