50 Cent Says His Family Was ‘Traumatized’ After Seeing His Penis on ‘Power’

An awkward situation for everyone. 50 Cent fans saw an entirely different side of the rapper on a recent episode of his show Power — and the 41-year-old star claims he didn’t approve the inclusion of the NSFW full-frontal scene.

Earlier this month, 50 Cent accused the Starz crime drama’s executive producer, Courtney Kemp, of including an up-close-and-personal shot of his character masturbating without his permission.

“Man I just saw episode 4, of POWER,” the “Candy Shop” MC captioned an Instagram post August 6. “Courtney I’m a kill you, this is not funny . I think I just saw my [eggplant emoji] in a scene. What the f–k Courtney call my phone NOW!!!”

50 Cent further addressed the controversy during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday, August 23, where he explained that he was aware his manhood would be shown on Power, but didn’t realize the shot would be as NSFW as it was.

“I knew it was there, but in the original clips, it was darker. It wasn’t on, like, a big screen, like a life-sized version,” he explained. “It wasn’t like, an accident. Courtney was like, ‘I didn’t want to show it to you in the beginning because I didn’t think you needed to see it at that point … You just gotta take one for the team.’”

And if things weren’t uncomfortable enough, the “P.I.M.P.” rapper says his aunt scolded him for not warning her about the NSFW scene before she watched the episode.

“My aunt sees the show, and she’s like, ‘I’m traumatized!’” he quipped. “She texted me like, ‘What the f–k? Why didn’t you tell me?’”

50 Cent expressed similar statements about his aunt’s hilarious reaction in an Instagram post earlier this month. “My Auntie G money, just called me and said man what the f–k did I just watch. she’s traumatized. She said she had to get up twice.”

Power airs on Starz on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
