The Nashville-based country singer, 28, posted a photo from the shoot this past weekend, featuring herself and her future husband in dirt-splattered white button-down shirts and denim bottoms. "An old fashioned mud fight!" the reality star wrote alongside the snap. "[Love] @dalebenfield @merebenfield for going right along with my crazy ideas!"

Duggar tells Us that the photographers, Dale and Meredith Benfield, wanted to encapsulate the couple's dynamic — and they pulled it off perfectly. "Our photographers were absolutely amazing to work with!" the bride-to-be tells Us. "They captured Dillon and I just doing what we do best, having fun!"

So how exactly did that mud fight begin? "We are a very playful couple," Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's niece adds. "So he started the mud fight [it..]… but I think I ended it. Just two big kids madly in mud!"

The setting for the engagement photos included a backdrop of gorgeous ponds littered with lily pads and tall shrubbery. "It was really special that he proposed to me on his family's property," she tells Us of King's romantic, sunset proposal last month. "It was the perfect backdrop for our engagement pictures as well!"

Amy and King first met in November 2007 and fell in love — although it wasn't love at first sight.

"When I first met him, he insulted me. It was when ruffles were really in style and he’s like, ‘What the heck are you wearing?’" she told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview this past Saturday, Aug. 8. "So we just started laughing that night and hanging out. I was like, ‘Well, if he’s going to be that honest I might as well keep him around.' I had no intention of ever dating him. I never thought he was attractive. Never flirted with him. Never kissed him. Nothing! Until one night all of our friends went camping and I kind of looked at him different."

She adorably noted: "He makes me laugh more than any person on the planet."
