Beyonce Has Been "Totally Doting" on Blue Ivy Carter

Beyonce's fans worldwide might have to wait a while for her album -- because this superstar loves being a full-time mom to Blue Ivy Carter!

Since giving birth to her first child with hubby Jay-Z Jan. 7, the "Love on Top" singer, 30, has been holed up in the couple's Scarsdale, New York mansion and $6.85 million Tribeca loft nursing her daughter.

"She has been totally doting on Blue," a source close to the diva tells Us. "She's up whenever the baby's up!"

And the self-described workaholic -- who typically toured, recorded albums and promoted her perfumes and clothing line at a nonstop clip -- welcomes the lifestyle change.

"She's enjoying this time off," the source says.

"The baby's gorgeous," Beyonce's pal Kelly Rowland told Us. "So much hair!"

What a lovely baby and i have no doubt she is one of the luckiest kids in the world, congratulations to both Beyonce and Jay-z. it is a shame there are some negative commenters but at the end of the day there will always be jealousy... the fact is this baby will be so loved by many many people all over the world, it cant get better than that.

Very pretty baby. She is one lucky little girl with all the opportunities she's going to have and two parents who are kind and generous people. I'd like her name better if it was Ivy Blue though. Blue Ivy just doesn't roll off the tongue. It feels odd when I say it for some reason.

I suppose people can disagree about what constitutes a "gorgeous" baby, but I wonder how many of these "most beautiful baby"-comments I've read since Beyonce had her kid are really just the product of a kind of aesthetic affirmative action that some people feel compelled to ascribe to. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that this baby is nothing special.

The baby should have only one nanny and the mother otherwise she will have attachment problems as she grows up! Beyonce please, read on this you have to inform yourself if you want her to grow healthy mind and body!

@Melissa I agree with you though stars have always had nannies to help take care of their kids especially while mommy and daddy are working. though some stars actually admit to feeling guilty about using nannies when their kids were children as Joanne Woodward and Vanessa Redgrave both have which is why their grandkids don't have nannies.@Iris the same could be said of Mariah Carey who even won a congressional award for her work with childrens charities in 1999

the baby looks like any other persons baby. just because the mom and dad are who they people make a big deal out of it. a regular persons baby is just as special as beyonce's baby . no better and no worse

So incredibly sweet. I always noticed even before Beyonce had Blue that she really loved being around children. She did so much charity work for kids.
