Kylie Kelce and her husband, Jason Kelce, had one request with their parents after welcoming their first daughter.

“I asked people not to kiss her face or her head or her hands,” Kylie, 34, shared during a Q&A for her podcast “Not Gonna Lie” shared via YouTube on Monday, October 26. “And everybody listened.”

Kylie and Jason, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and Finnley in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025, respectively.

“We have a good little squad. Squad understands the assignment,” she said. “Squad is very respectful about the fact that they have raised their grown children and that this is an opportunity for them to be fun, loving grandparents and supportive. So we actually made out like thieves on this one. I don’t necessarily know that we had to set boundaries.”

Kylie noted that it was “stinky” because their eldest daughter, Wyatt, was 6 months old when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

“So being the germaphobe that I am — and also the unknown with a 6-month-old in your house — we locked it down pretty fast. We were very careful,” she said. “That was the time where we set boundaries just in terms of travel and things like that.”

Kylie continued, “Everyone understands the assignment. So, we really lucked out.”

Jason’s mom, Donna Kelce, has been candid about her role as a grandparent and how she has navigated this chapter of her life.

“Let them do whatever they want,” Donna said during a 2025 episode of the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast when Kylie asked for her best grandparenting advice. “Within reason. There are things that I ask you. ‘Can I do this? Can I do that?’”

She continued, “I think you’re there to show them as much love as you possibly can. And I’m not the one that’s going to be the downer. So, I try not to be. But every once in a while, you have to say, ‘OK, that’s enough.’”

From Kylie’s perspective, Donna has an “amazing balance” with the four children.

“They know that you’ll bring them sweet treats because that’s the grandparents’ duty. Everybody knows that you have free rein on sweet treats,” Kylie continued. “And they know that you will sit there and give them your undivided attention and read them books. And so because of that, whenever there is mention of DeeDee, they’re like, ‘Where is she? When she get here?’ Is she here yet?’”

Kylie concluded, “There’s excitement with it that, like, is unmatched, and very obvious that they truly value the time that they get to spend with you.”
