Kylie Kelce has stepped back from sharing frequent family photos of her four children via social media.
“The shame of it is that when we had our first, I was not necessarily in the public eye,” Kylie, 34, said on the Wednesday, October 7, episode of “The Squeeze” podcast, recalling when she welcomed daughter Wyatt with husband Jason Kelce in 2019. “Obviously, I was married to my husband and he had a large following just because of football, but I didn’t have a bunch of random people following my account, so I still very much used my Instagram specifically to post life updates [and] use social media exactly how anyone would use social media.”
She continued, “As life has gone on and things have changed, I post infrequently overall, and I post even less frequently [of] our children.”
In addition to 7-year-old Wyatt, Kylie and Jason, 38, share daughters Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 19 months.
“It got to a point where I didn’t want to exclude them entirely, [but] I made it a point to stop putting their faces on my social media,” the “Not Gonna Lie” podcaster revealed on Wednesday. “I will say, and I’m so sorry for the people who do this, [but] I don’t quite understand the posting photos of their faces and putting an emoji on top of it. … I just find it super confusing.”
Kylie added, “It’s almost as if to be like, ‘There’s a face under here.’ I am firmly in the camp of whatever makes you happy, whatever you want to do, for sure, [and] whatever you feel comfortable with, it doesn’t bother me. I don’t necessarily think I would ever do that.”
Kylie and Jason previously encountered a “gray area” in their mindset when they filmed his 2023 Prime Video documentary, Kelce, throughout the 2022 NFL season.
“Our kids were included in that because, part of the decision, was surrounded by the impact it had on our family,” Kylie noted. “So, they were included in that, and that was really the turning point for me to understand that people can’t draw a line for themselves. I think that sometimes you have to very clearly draw it for them.”
Since then, Jason and Kylie have only “occasionally” allowed their daughters to make cameos on their respective podcasts — but never for any sponsored partnerships.
“Our kids have never been included in any brand deal, any sponsorship. Our kids never will be,” she stated. “The only time they’ve been included in any content was few and far between, and it’s never been a situation where we’ve asked them to perform or asked them to do something specific. I feel really strongly about going forward just for their safety to not include them in anything.”
While Kylie and Jason have made a decision to protect their family, the move has raised eyebrows online.
“People online take issue with the fact that I discuss my kids’ lives, which I think is kind of crazy, let alone show their faces on anything,” she said. “There was actually a radio show that put out a clip and they tagged me multiple times recently, maybe in the last, like, two months, and they were like, ‘She exploits her kids.’ And I’m like, ‘My kids aren’t in anything.’”
Looking back at her Instagram page, Kylie noted that she last posted a photo of Finn in her March 2025 birth announcement.
“I’m still trying to navigate [the frequent discussions],” she admitted. “I, overall, want to ensure my kids safety and that’s always going to be the top priority, but part of the issue is people are going to see them. What are you going to do? Mask them? Leave them in the house?”
